924 Central Jakarta Residents Infected with Dengue Fever

From January to November 10, 2025, there were 924 residents in Central Jakarta diagnosed with Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). Two died due to mosquito bites from Aedes aegypti.

Most affected are working people and school children

Central Jakarta Health Sub-agency Head, Rismasari said that previously, the number of dengue fever cases in 2025 decreased. In 2024, the number was 1,222, and six died.

"Compared to the previous year, the number of dengue fever cases in Central Jakarta has decreased this year," she expressed, Monday (11/17).

Mosquito Nest Eradication in Kalisari Intensified

She explained that from January to November 10, 2025, the highest dengue cases occurred in Cempaka Putih Sub-district with 223 cases. The sub-district with the highest DBD cases is Rawasari, with 93 cases.

For age groups, the highest dengue cases in 2025 are among those aged 20 to 44 years, with 270 cases. As for the lowest number is in children under one year old, with five cases, and among those over 64 years old, there are six cases.

"Based on dengue cases by age group, the most affected are working people and school children," she explained.

Therefore, she asked the Education Sub-agencyI and II to intensify mosquito nest eradication activities with students who have been trained as independent jumantik cadres.

"I also request that mosquito nest eradication in the office be intensified every week through Jumantik cadre," she explained.

Her party is ready to provide training to develop independent jumantik cadres in schools and offices.

"Independent Jumantik cadres in schools and offices will strengthen dengue prevention efforts, thereby greatly assisting Jumantik cadres in RT/RW," she concluded.
